I have several projects in various stages of development. My novella, The Hand That Gives The Rose, will appear in the Harlequin Everlasting Love anthology The Valentine Gift in February 2008.

I am also working on a third book for the Everlasting Love series, with more news about this project soon.

And for fans awaiting The Inner Room, I hope to have more to report in the near future.

I once stood on the balcony of a stone house on the main street of my ancestral village in southern Italy and looked out over the valley that had been my family's home for over five hundred years. Many years later, sipping coffee with my aunts in New York, I heard a story about my great-grandmother that was told from the vantage point of that balcony through the eyes of a ten-year-old girl watching her mother returning home. What she saw is the climax of "Victory Parade." The family around which the eyes and tongues of the village of Venticano swirl also populates my novel, Dancing on Sunday Afternoons. It was in writing "Victory Parade" that I first began to understand the character of Anna Fiorillo and the pivotal role she would play in shaping the history of her family.
